Is domestic violence a public issue, or a private one?

It shocks me to hear anyone suggest that it doesn't effect all of us. Just because
an act of violence is committed in private does not mean that it is not a crime!
By its very definition, crime rips holes in the fabric that civilization covers us with
for our comfort and safety. To question whether assault within the confines of home
is criminal is at best insensitive and at worst indicative of a cruel and discompassionate
attitude.

Domestic violence, like any other kind, is extremely costly in every sense of the term.
It cannot be allowed to continue!

Domestic violence is a abusive behavior towards someone emotionally, physically etc. in some cases it only get worst as time passes and thing that you mentioned about public & private is quite interesting.
